Bathroom Inspiration for Reclaimed Iroko

Reclaimed iroko is an excellent choice of wood for bathrooms – as a tropical hardwood, it’s hard-wearing and naturally moisture resistant.

With the correct treatment, your iroko will continue to look wonderful for many years to come. For high-moisture areas, our go-to treatment is Timbertect Interior Timber Seal in a matte finish, supplied by Conservation Chemicals. You can find more information on our Guide to Reclaimed Iroko Worktops.

Undermounting your tub makes it easy to dry up standing water and stops water sitting in hard-to-reach crevices. Centrally mounting taps makes a shared bath comfortable for two.

Updating your bath panel with reclaimed iroko is a simple yet effective way to elevate the look of your bathtub. Adding a comfy armchair or sofa to the bathroom creates a welcoming space for bath-time socialising. The bathroom above is thoughtfully designed for family use, with a sink positioned at child-height.

Stone, tiles and timber can all be used as splashbacks. Handmade zellige tiles from Emery et Cie are some of our  favourites.

Smaller iroko offcuts needn’t go to waste as they can be used for basin stands and shelves etc.
