Our website is non-transactional. Items can be added to your basket where you will be asked to fill out an enquiry form. Please make sure you include your contact details, your address and any important questions. Alternatively, you can contact our sales team directly. You will then be contacted to organise payment and any shipping requirements.

We can store your purchase in our Kensal Green shop for up to 7 days. Longer storage can be arranged directly with our sales team at a weekly cost.
Reservations
Please speak directly with our sales team to reserve an item. The reservation period is at the discretion of our sales team and may not be available on popular items, especially items featured in our newsletter.
If payment is not received within the agreed time period the item will be made available to other clients and may be sold. An invoice must be paid to guarantee your purchase.

If an item is reserved it does not guarantee it is sold. Please message mail@retrouvius.com to be next in line if the sale doesn’t go ahead!
Stock
On occasion. Please send pictures and relevant information to mail@retrouvius.com and we will do our best to get back to you.
The nature of salvage & reuse is that we never know what we are going to discover… this makes sourcing very tricky! Though we can try to keep an eye out for some things, we don’t have the resources to search for specific items. Our best recommendation is to sign up to our newsletter (In the footer of our website) to receive new stock alerts.
We work with multiple experts who help us to identify and verify the provenance of our stock.
There’s always something new to learn… if you have any further interesting knowledge or insight into our stock we’d love to hear from you!
All of our stock has had a previous life, be it vintage, antique or salvage. Some pieces are in near-perfect condition, others show signs of their age and history! We do our best to share photography that provides an honest reflection of every item. If you have any concerns please discuss with our sales team.
Joinery & Alterations
We don’t have an inhouse joinery workshop so this isn’t a service we can offer. We suggest you reach out to sympathetic joiners in your local area.
Things you might want to ask them…
- Are they happy to work with reclaimed materials?
- What methods will they use to finish the timber? This is important if you would like to retain the original patina.
This is not a service we offer but there are many online resources and forums for finding an expert. A quick Google can be very helpful for finding someone in your area.
Shipping
We have an address book of trusted couriers, both local and international, and we can discuss the most suitable option with you.
Yes – within reason! Ultimate responsibility lies solely with the client, but we can help give trusted recommendations and to organise your courier. For environmental reasons, we do encourage our clients to look for items and materials within their local area.
Returns
Stock viewed in person is sold as seen. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase we can exchange for a credit note.
If a purchase is made online or over the phone all standard statutory rights apply.
If an item has suffered damage in transit please contact our sales team.

Credit Notes
Credit notes are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed in their entirety within this period.
