This week Adam and Paddy were invited by The Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis to give a talk exploring creativity, craftsmanship, and the art of reuse.
The Boat Building Academy was founded in 1997 by naval commander Tim Gedge and is housed in a converted Air Sea Rescue Base in a stunning location, right next to the beach in Lyme Regis and close to the picturesque old harbour.
The BBA has trained over 2500 people in furniture making and boat building.
Paddy leads the warehouse team here at Retrouvius and completed the BBA Furniture Making Course in 2024. Alongside his role at Retrouvius he creates his own furniture for sale through Instagram and London markets.
