REMAINS TO BE SEEN | FEATURED IN THE WORLD OF INTERIORS MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2025

Step into The Garages – a testament to Retrouvius’s ethos of reuse – in this October edition of World of Interiors.

Entitled Remains to be Seen, the feature explores how Retrouvius’ philosophy of reclamation and re-use extends beyond the projects we design for our clients – into our own domestic space; the home of Maria Speake and Adam Hills.

Rich with architectural remnants and materials we have repurposed; doors from a demolished Lutyens building, Belgian flooring, windows from our childrens’ school. As Hugo Macdonald notes in his article, these “ravishingly resurrected” fragments serve not only as surfaces and furnishings, but as reminders of the beauty that can be found in the overlooked – or as he puts it, “the rejectamenta”!

With many thanks to Emily Tobin for commissioning the piece, Hugo Macdonald for the wonderful words and Simon Upton for the amazing photography. Please click here to subscribe to The World of Interiors.
