Antique Victorian bell, cast in London in 1864, on its original black-painted frame.
Marked 'J WARNER & SONS LONDON 1864'.
This famous bellfoundry, operating from 1739 to 1949, are best known for casting the bells for the Houses of Parliament in the late 1850s.
Though their original 'Big Ben' was recast after damage, the 'quarter bells' that make the famous Westminster chimes are still J Warner originals.
The bell makes an excellent sound.
Some lichen and rust on the frame, but in full working condition. The surfaces could be restored or kept as they are.
