This shelving system was manufactured by W. Lucy & Co Ltd, Oxford, from the late 1890's.

They named it "perfect adjustable shelving" – extremely versatile, as the brackets run up and down a groove in the upright and are easily locked in any position; it can be configured in numerous ways for bookshelves, clothes hanging, home and shop use etc.

Supplied flat packed in component parts with simple instructions for self-assembly.

This iteration has very heavy and thick columns – a version with slimmer, lighter columns is also available.
