A fine cast iron fireplace, made by the renowned Coalbrookdale Foundry in Ironbridge, c.1880.
Stamped to rear.
In the Georgian neo-classical style of Robert Adam – freestanding ionic columns on each side and fine detailed panels containing anthemions and swags.
Very handsome piece: one of the best models from one of the best makers.
We have had this fireplace blast-cleaned, small areas filled, and primed – now awaiting your final choice of top-coat.
