This shelving system was manufactured by W. Lucy & Co Ltd, Oxford, from the late 1890's. They named it "perfect adjustable shelving" and it certainly is that. Extremely versatile as the brackets run up and down a groove in the upright and are easily locked in any position; it can be configured in numerous ways for bookshelves, clothes hanging, home and shop use etc.
