Platner in the Warehouse

These rare lights were designed by the American architect, Warren Platner. Originally produced in relatively small quantities in the late 1970s and 1980s they bring a shoulder pad swagger to a curvaceous deco style.
A curved brass front and painted steel centre holds ES lampholders.

Our team used Warren Platner wall lights alongside cork lined walls to channel the spirit of 1970 in Helios 710 - a duplex penthouse in the former BBC Television Centre - working with Bella Freud and Piercy & Co Architects to design this project for Stanhope.
