Arts & Crafts cabinets from Maggs Bros. LTD

Retrouvius have just acquired a set of spectactular cabinets from antiquarian manuscript and book dealers Maggs Bros LTD.

Its incredibly rare to get a ten piece suite with such fantastic provenance — an untouched original set of furniture from a brilliant family business. Made bespoke for Maggs Bros in 1937 the cabinets are in the Arts & Crafts style and are of a delicate scale with quality detail that makes them ideal for domestic re-use.

Founded in 1853 Maggs Bros has relocated from its home (since 1937) at 50 Berkeley Square to its current home on Bedford Square. As one of the World's largest anitquarian manuscript and booksellers it both buys and sells to individuals and builds collections with clients over time, priding itself on being traditional but not stuffy.
