‘Suspended Living’ article, July 2001

‘From his ceiling mounted bed, fashion photographer Guy Hills has an elevated view over his open plan space, a converted coach house in Camden, North London.

‘Guy wanted a large kitchen for dinner parties, a study where he could store his work and see clients, a capacious wardrobe, access to the roof terrace – and somewhere to sleep. All in one room. Hence the bed was suspended from the ceiling, leaving the entire floor space free for the living area – with a study on one side, kitchen/bathroom on the other.’
